travel north america united states of america alaska ketchikan kayaking clover pass
We booked with Ketchikan Kayaking Company for a kayaking around Clover Pass where there is a tide shift of more than 20 feet.
We kayaked between 4 and 5 miles at near high tide across the pass and around Eagle, Clover, and Pup Islands.
It was an overcast day, but the seas were calm and there was only a light wind at times.
During our two and a half hours of kayaking, we saw eagles, seals, deer, and a humpback whale that breached about 75 feet from us.
We were the only people that booked for that morning so we had a private "tour" with two guides.
Atreyu was a nice young man that grew up in Ketchikan, and Curran was another nice man that had recently moved to the area.
